Privacy policy

boatbooks is a private, single-tenant bookkeeping tool operated by Inspirasi LLC for its own accounts. It is not offered to the public and has no users other than the operator.

What it accesses

With the operator's authorisation it reads bank transactions from Revolut Business, reads receipt documents from the operator's own document archive, and creates expense and invoice records in the operator's QuickBooks Online company via the Intuit API.

What it stores

Transaction metadata (date, merchant, amount, category) and OAuth tokens are stored on a server controlled by the operator. Receipt files are copied into QuickBooks Online as attachments. No data is sold, shared, or transferred to any third party beyond the services named above.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept for as long as the operator's accounting records require. Access can be revoked at any time from the QuickBooks Online "Apps" page or the Revolut Business API settings, after which no further data is read.

Security

Tokens are stored with restricted file permissions on an encrypted volume; all API traffic uses TLS.
